D.Pharm Program Overview
The Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm.) was introduced in 2014, is a two-year program offered in accordance with the guidelines of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The program is designed to provide students with fundamental knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacy practice, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, and community pharmacy.
The curriculum integrates theoretical instruction with hands-on laboratory training, equipping students with the practical skills required for medication dispensing, prescription processing, patient counselling, drug storage, inventory control, and pharmaceutical care. In addition, the program promotes professional ethics, effective communication, and an understanding of healthcare systems and public health responsibilities.
